Είκοσι δύο χρόνια μετά τα γεγονότα του Jurassic Park, το νησί Nublar διαθέτει πλέον ένα πλήρως λειτουργικό θεματικό πάρκο δεινοσαύρων, το Jurassic World, όπως είχε αρχικά οραματιστεί ο John Hammond. Περιλαμβάνει επίσης για πρώτη φορά ένα νέο αξιοθέατο, μία λίμνη με υδρόβιους δεινόσαυρους. Το πάρκο συγκεντρώνει 10 εκατομμύρια επισκέπτες τον χρόνο και φαίνεται απόλυτα ασφαλές.
