Lara Croft: Tomb Raider

Film · 2001

Orphaned heiress, English aristocrat and intrepid archaeologist, Lara Croft, embarks on a dangerous quest to retrieve the two halves of an ancient artifact which controls time before it falls into the wrong hands. As an extremely rare planetary alignment is about to occur for the first time in 5,000 years, the fearless tomb raider will have to team up with rival adventurers and sworn enemies to collect the pieces, while time is running out. But, in the end, who can harness the archaic talisman's unlimited power?

The sides of Lara Croft: Tomb Raider

  • An aristocrat archaeologist who raids tombs
  • Two halves of an artifact that controls time
  • A race from Cambodian temples to Siberian ice

Lara Croft: Tomb Raider is good for you if…

  • you like a heroine who fights statues and bungee jumps in her own mansion.
  • you like jungle temples and frozen tombs on a big screen.
  • you like Lara following the clues her late father left behind.

Lara Croft: Tomb Raider is bad for you if…

  • you need the logic to hold up, and a planetary alignment rules here.
  • you'd rather have a character study than a video game quest.
