The Purge: Anarchy

Film · 2014

One night per year, the government sanctions a 12-hour period in which citizens can commit any crime they wish -- including murder -- without fear of punishment or imprisonment. Leo, a sergeant who lost his son, plans a vigilante mission of revenge during the mayhem. However, instead of a death-dealing avenger, he becomes the unexpected protector of four innocent strangers who desperately need his help if they are to survive the night.

The sides of The Purge: Anarchy

  • One night a year when every crime is legal
  • A father who goes out to find the man who killed his son
  • Strangers stranded on the street before dawn

The Purge: Anarchy is good for you if…

  • you like a night where the street itself is the danger.
  • you like strangers trying to last until morning.
  • you can take a story that offers almost no comfort.

The Purge: Anarchy is bad for you if…

  • you don't want masked men with machetes for an hour and a half.
  • you need a premise you can believe before you can sit through the night.
